The Masons Arms 28 High St, Meysey Hampton GL7 5JT • +44 1285 850164
I was here with my friend a few weeks ago and we had an excellent meal. The starter was first class, I think mine was a seafood salad with delicious walnut and other additions, and for main course we both had the pork with dauphinoise. It was delectable and a real treat. The wine was excellent and the staff were attentive and understanding as we left later than most. A really lovely retreat if you want to get away from it all in the car without going too far.
The Square, Henley-on-Thames
This Portuguese restaurant has been very successful and has lived long and they do make an effort to change things and server quality food all-round. The setting is perfect for the middle of Henley and we always enjoy going for a drink in Summer or food at any time of the year!
John O’Gaunt Inn, Hungerford
Really enjoyed this pub and had a nice meal with a friend. The garden is nice and relaxing and the whole setting was great for a late summer’s evening. Will be calling in again next time we are passing through so we can try some more menu items!
Fare, Wokingham
Really enjoyed this excursion on a rather miserable Saturday and it was just what we needed to get ourselves back on the straight and narrow. Excellent services, great wine and amazing food make this one of my favourite Wokingham venues!
Chalk, Wokingham
This is an amazing building – Montague House – which used to be the library as I remember. Now it is all flats of course, but on the ground floor there is a wonderful restaurant called chalk which actually does decent oysters – in Wokingham! Always glad to head in here for half a dozen and a good glass of fizz!
