Microwaving Mushrooms
Okay, I know this might sound controversial, but I actually microwave my mushrooms because it’s supposedly one of the healthiest ways to prepare them. I usually microwave them for just 30 to 45 seconds, and they turn out super juicy, tender, and delicious!
However, I’ve noticed that a lot of recipes online suggest microwaving them for 3 to 4 minutes. I tried that once, and let’s just say my mushrooms came out looking like they’d been through a disaster—burnt, shriveled, and rubbery. It was like a horror show in my microwave! So, I’m left wondering: why do most sources recommend such a long cooking time? What am I doing wrong? It’s just a microwave! 😩
