Cuisinart confusion. 16/14 Large Work Bowl

Cuisinart Conundrum: Large Work Bowl 16/14

Hey cooking enthusiasts! I own an FP-16DC Elite Food Processor, and unfortunately, the large work bowl has cracked. I’m having trouble figuring out how to replace it. I stumbled upon the FP-16BKWB on Amazon for $64, but it specifies that it’s compatible exclusively with the “FP-14 only OEM.”

I’m hoping to find a better deal online, but I’m getting mixed up with what parts fit which models since the 16 is no longer in production.

Are there any Cuisinart experts out there who can help me out?

  1. Hi there! It can definitely be confusing with the Cuisinart food processor model numbers. The FP-16DC Elite is indeed discontinued, and finding the right replacement parts can be tricky.

The FP-16BKWB bowl you’re seeing is designed for the FP-14 model, which means it likely won’t fit your FP-16DC. Unfortunately, the parts for discontinued models can be harder to track down.

Here are a few suggestions to help you find a suitable replacement:

    1. Check Cuisinart’s Official Website: Sometimes they have parts available for discontinued models or can guide you to compatible replacements.

    2. Third-Party Websites: Look for specialized appliance parts websites. They may have the exact part or alternatives that can fit.

    3. Ebay or Other Retailers: Occasionally, you may find sellers offering parts for older models. Just make sure to verify the part compatibility.

    4. Contact Cuisinart Customer Support: They may be able to provide insight on what bowls are compatible or help you find an alternative.

    5. Consider after-market options: There are third-party manufacturers that create compatible bowls, but check reviews to ensure quality.

Good luck with your search, and I hope you find the replacement bowl you need!
