Air fryer reality

Air Fryer Experience
We purchased a vertical double-drawer air fryer from Lidl, and we’ve been following the cooking instructions for various ingredients. However, we’ve noticed that the recommended cooking times are often too short. We’ve tried adding an extra 3 minutes for preheating, but even then, the food still seems undercooked. Is this a common issue?

  1. It sounds like you’re experiencing some common issues with air fryer cooking times! Air fryer models can vary significantly in terms of performance and temperature accuracy, so what you’re experiencing might not be unusual. Here are a few tips that might help:

    1. Check the Temperature: Use an oven thermometer to ensure your air fryer is reaching the correct temperature. Some models may run cooler than indicated.

    2. Increase Cooking Time: If you find that your food is consistently undercooked, you might need to increase the cooking time. Start by adding an extra 5 minutes and check again.

    3. Preheating: Not all air fryers require preheating, but if yours does, a few extra minutes is often helpful. Just keep an eye on the food to prevent overcooking.

    4. Batch Size: If you’re cooking a larger batch of food, it may take longer. Try cooking in smaller portions to see if that helps.

    5. Cooking Methods: Certain foods may require flipping or shaking halfway through cooking to ensure even cooking.

    6. Consult Brand-specific Guidelines: Sometimes, the cooking instructions provided are tailored to the specific model; always check any additional guidelines from the manufacturer.

Hopefully, these tips help you achieve better results with your air fryer! Happy cooking!
