Induction cooktop question

Induction Cooktop Inquiry
Hello everyone! I’m curious if there’s a portable induction cooktop available that can efficiently boil water in a 37L pot, measuring 500mm in diameter and 190mm in height (approximately 9.8 gallons, 19.7 inches x 7.5 inches).

Thanks for your help! (I realize this is a bit of an unusual question!)

  1. Hi! It’s not an odd question at all. Induction cooktops are great for quickly boiling water, but there are a few factors to consider for your specific pot size.

Most portable induction cooktops have a limited cooking area, typically around 10 to 12 inches in diameter. Your pot is quite large (about 19.7 inches wide) and may exceed the cooktop’s capabilities. However, there are larger induction cooktops available, often designed for more serious cooking or outdoor use.

To effectively boil water in a pot of that size, you’ll want to look for:

    1. High wattage: A portable induction cooktop with 1800 watts or more will heat up water faster.
    2. Size compatibility: Check the specs to ensure the cooktop can accommodate your pot’s diameter.
    3. Max pot size: Some cooktops specify a maximum pot diameter; make sure it’s large enough for your pot.

If you can’t find a standard portable cooktop that fits your needs, you might need to consider a larger countertop model or even multiple smaller cooktops to distribute the heating.

I hope this helps! Good luck finding the right cooktop for your bagels!
