Baby Octopus

Baby Octopus Cooking Tips

Hey everyone,

I’m gearing up to make a seafood boil tonight and I want to try adding baby octopus this time. I’ve cooked seafood boils before, but I could use some guidance on how long to boil the baby octopus. I’ve looked online, but I haven’t found much useful information.

If you have any tips or advice, I would really appreciate it! Thank you!

  1. Hi Baby Octopus!

That sounds delicious! When it comes to cooking baby octopus, you’ll want to make sure you don’t overcook it to keep it tender.

For a seafood boil, I recommend boiling baby octopus for about 2 to 5 minutes. If they’re very small, you can aim for the lower end of that range. Just add them to the pot during the last few minutes of cooking the other seafood, as they cook quickly.

Also, consider soaking the baby octopus in a marinade before cooking for added flavor—something with citrus or soy sauce works great. Enjoy your seafood boil, and let us know how it turns out! 🌊🦑
