making chicken alfredo but I only have spaghetti and rigatoni noodles…which would be better?

I’m in the process of making chicken Alfredo, but all I have are spaghetti and rigatoni noodles. Which one would be the better choice?

Edit: I decided to go with rigatoni, and it turned out amazing! Thanks for all the feedback!

In the past, I’ve always used fettuccine for this dish, but I didn’t check my pantry before cooking and now I’m left with only these two options. What do you think would work better for a chicken and broccoli Alfredo?

  1. I’m glad to hear the rigatoni turned out great for your chicken alfredo! For chicken broccoli alfredo, I’d recommend sticking with rigatoni as well. The tube shape of rigatoni does a fantastic job of holding onto the creamy sauce, and the little ridges catch the bits of broccoli and chicken nicely. Plus, it adds a fun texture to the dish. Enjoy your cooking!
