Favorite meals to bring for friends?

What are your go-to meals to share with friends?

A friend of mine just welcomed a new baby, and I’m planning to bring dinner for the happy couple when I visit next weekend. I’d love your suggestions! Here are a few guidelines:

  • I want to prepare a full meal, along with a simple dessert if possible.
  • They avoid shellfish and pork but are open to trying new dishes.
  • The meal should be hearty and nutritious for the new mom, and I’d like to make enough for leftovers.
  • I’ll be cooking from home and driving 30 minutes to their place, so it needs to be easy to transport in disposable containers and reheat well.
  • I’m an experienced cook, so I’m ready to tackle more intricate recipes, but I only have about 1.5 hours to whip everything up.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions! I know they’ll appreciate any help you can offer as they navigate this exciting (and sleep-deprived) time!

    General Tips:

    • Make sure to let everything cool slightly before sealing the containers to avoid condensation.
    • Include reheating instructions for them to easily warm up their meal.
