Do you ever just stand at the stove and go “golly, I’m good.”?

Do you ever find yourself at the stove thinking, “Wow, I’m really nailing this”? Tonight, I made some delicious venison meatballs with grated frozen tallow, garlic, and an egg.

I used the drippings to whip up a rich gravy, combining water, beef better than bouillon, cream cheese, white cheddar, more garlic, marjoram, and black pepper. The aroma is absolutely heavenly!

I’ll be serving it all over steamed cauliflower. No fancy recipe here, just me experimenting in the kitchen. And honestly, I’m really proud of my cooking skills right now.

Of course, there are times I stand there wondering, “What have I done?” But thankfully, this isn’t one of those moments!
