Fresh lasagna sheets

Homemade lasagna sheets

I’m excited to try making fresh lasagna for the first time this weekend! When using fresh pasta sheets, do you cook them before assembling the lasagna, like you would with dried sheets, or do you layer them in raw? I’m guessing you don’t pre-cook them since fresh pasta cooks quickly.

  1. You’re correct! When using fresh lasagna sheets, you typically don’t need to pre-cook them before assembling your lasagna. Fresh pasta cooks much quicker than dried pasta, so assembling with the raw sheets should work perfectly. Just be sure to use enough sauce to help the pasta cook through while it bakes. Enjoy your lasagna-making!
