Pan still safe to use ?

Is my pan still safe to use?

I accidentally left the heat on with some water and leftover bits from frying eggs in the pan. Now there’s a stubborn brown stain that won’t come out. Is it still safe to use? I wish I could share a picture for reference. Thanks!

  1. It sounds like you might have some burnt residue in your pan. As long as the pan is not warped or damaged, it should still be safe to use, but you’ll want to clean it thoroughly first.

Try soaking the pan in warm, soapy water for a while to help loosen the burnt bits. You can also use a non-abrasive scrubber or baking soda paste for tougher spots. If the discolored area is just surface residue and your pan is made of a material that can handle scrubbing (like stainless steel), it’s usually fine to continue using it after a good clean.

If you notice any flaking, peeling, or if the pan has sustained structural damage, it’s best to replace it. Safety first!
