I ordered a bagel sushi roll expecting to find smoked salmon, but it turned out to be raw. As someone who really dislikes raw salmon, I’m hoping to cook it instead. What’s the best way to do that?
I was thinking about pan frying it, but I worry it might stick to the pan. Baking is another option I considered.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
UPDATE: I decided to take the salmon out of the roll, pan-fry it, then put it back inside. I paired it with a quick honey ginger sauce, and it turned out delicious!
For clarification, this is a maki sushi roll called a “bagel roll,” typically featuring cured or smoked salmon and cream cheese wrapped in sushi rice and seaweed. It’s named after the classic lox bagel combination.
