Ground beef and Sprite—what’s your go-to mixer?
A long time ago, while cooking with a family member, they added Sprite to the ground beef sizzling on the skillet. I was taken aback; usually, I reach for a beer like Corona or Negra Modelo. But the idea of using bubbly corn syrup was completely new to me.
Fast forward over 15 years, and I’ve developed a habit of adding a splash of fizz to my ground beef dishes. I’m curious, though—what else enhances the flavor? It seems to give the beef an unexpected twist, but I can’t quite identify what makes it taste so unique.
