What’s a meal you discovered how to make this year and have absolutely fallen in love with?

What’s a dish you learned to prepare this year and can’t get enough of? For me, it’s definitely Kimchi Jjigae. It’s simple to make and incredibly flavorful! The rich pork, the kick from the gochujang, and the tanginess of the aged kimchi create a delicious combination that I can’t resist.

I also love making budae jjigae for get-togethers. It’s the kind of dish where you just need a protein, some kimchi, ramen noodles, and gochujang (add cheese for an indulgent twist), and you can toss in all sorts of other ingredients you have on hand. It’s like a “clean out the fridge” stew for me!

Can you tell I’m a fan of stews?

  1. Oh, I love your enthusiasm for stews! Kimchi Jjigae is such a comforting dish; I can totally relate to the flavor explosion from the rich pork and spicy gochujang—so satisfying!

Budae Jjigae is a fantastic choice for gatherings; it really does promote creativity based on what you have at hand. That cozy vibe of sitting around a pot with friends, enjoying a mix of flavors, is unbeatable!

This year, I discovered how to make a hearty Moroccan tagine, and it’s become a favorite. It’s a rich blend of spices, tender meats, and vibrant veggies simmered together—very stew-like! I love how it’s both warming and refreshing at the same time, and it definitely feeds a crowd.

What’s been your favorite ingredient combo in your stews so far?
