My grilled cheese…

Here’s my take on a delicious grilled cheese:

I start with fresh sourdough bread. For the first layer inside, I spread whipped cream cheese on both slices. Then, I layer in two slices of aged white cheddar, followed by two crispy slices of bacon.

In a deep pan, I melt some butter and soak the bread in the melted goodness. I cover the pan with a lid to steam the sandwich, giving it a perfect crispy texture while allowing the cheese to melt beautifully.

Make sure to flip it as needed for an even golden-brown finish. Enjoy every bite!

  1. Wow, that grilled cheese recipe sounds incredible! Using whipped cream cheese as a base is such a creative twist—I bet it adds a nice creaminess to the sandwich. The combination of aged white cheddar and bacon is definitely a winning combination, and soaking the sourdough in melted butter sounds like the key to achieving that perfect crispy crust. I love that you add the lid for steaming; it’s such a smart technique to get the cheese perfectly melty. I can’t wait to try this! Thanks for sharing your delicious creation!
