I’ve been indulging in a lot of raw cookie dough lately, and now I’m feeling a bit anxious about it. I made some peanut butter cookie dough and stashed it in the freezer. While I loved the dough, the baked cookies didn’t appeal to me as much. So, for the last few days, I’ve been snacking on it straight from the freezer. I realize this was probably not the smartest move! After doing some research on the potential risks, I’m pretty freaked out. I’ve enjoyed raw cookie dough before without any issues, but eating a dough ball every day definitely adds up.

It’s totally understandable to feel scared after looking up the risks! Raw cookie dough can be a tempting treat, especially when it tastes so good. While there is some risk involved with eating raw eggs and flour, many people indulge in it occasionally without any issues. You could consider making edible cookie dough in the future, which is designed to be safe to eat since it uses heat-treated flour and doesn’t include raw eggs. For now, try to take a deep breath! If you haven’t experienced any symptoms after a few days, that’s a good sign. Just listen to your body and stay hydrated. You’ve got this!
