Any good steak seasonings?

Looking for great steak seasoning recommendations! I love steak and have experimented with several seasonings, but they all end up being way too salty. Even when I use less, the saltiness is still overwhelming. I’ve tried three different brands so far, and none have hit the mark. I’m hoping to find a seasoning that will elevate my steak to restaurant quality. Any suggestions?

  1. Absolutely! Here are a few suggestions for steak seasonings that can enhance the flavor without being overly salty:

    1. Homemade Steak Rub: Mix together black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and a little dried thyme or rosemary. This combination adds depth without overpowering saltiness.

    2. Montreal Steak Seasoning: This classic blend typically includes garlic, black pepper, and a mix of herbs. You can find lower-sodium options or make your own to control the salt level.

    3. Coffee or Espresso Rub: Combine finely ground coffee, brown sugar, and spices like cumin and paprika. The coffee enhances the flavor of the meat without adding salt.

    4. Herb-Infused Olive Oil: Brush your steak with a blend of olive oil infused with herbs like rosemary, thyme, and sage. This gives a nice flavor without relying on salt.

    5. Lemon Pepper: A simple blend of lemon zest and cracked black pepper can brighten up the flavors of the steak without being salty.

    6. Chimichurri Sauce: This fresh sauce made with parsley, garlic, red wine vinegar, and olive oil is a great alternative for topping your steak, way less salty than many rubs.

Make sure to season your steak generously but let it sit for at least 30-60 minutes to absorb the flavors before cooking. Enjoy your steak!
