Best appliance for my need?

Appliance Recommendations Needed!

Hello everyone!

I’m looking to expand my cooking repertoire beyond my typical Italian and French dishes and focus more on healthy options. My aim is to whip up salad dressings and creamy vinaigrettes using ingredients like shallots, cherry tomatoes, cream, oil, and stock—all with the press of a button.

I need something compact but powerful enough to finely chop a quartered onion. While I know a food processor would handle this easily, my one-person kitchen just doesn’t have the space for one.

I’m leaning towards a bullet-style blender. With my current job, I’m short on time and can’t afford the hassle of disassembling, handwashing, and drying every part of an appliance. I need something dishwasher-safe so I can toss the lid, blade, and container into the dishwasher, pack my meal for work, and be out the door in no time. I’m considering purchasing two or three of these blenders so I can cycle them through the dishwasher or use separate ones for different sauces, like a tomato-based sauce and a pesto.

I’d love to hear your recommendations for durable appliances that you’ve used and trusted over time. I appreciate your help!

My budget is up to $60, so please don’t shy away from quality recommendations, even if they’re not the cheapest options. I’m familiar with brands like Kitchen Aid, Le Creuset, and Breville from my childhood kitchen, but I’m looking for something small yet powerful for blending sauces or dressings.

I’m hesitant about immersion blenders since they don’t come with a lid, and that means I’d need a large bowl—which would consume space in my dishwasher and reduce my bowl inventory. Ultimately, I’m in search of the best quality “lidded” small blender available. Thank you!
