Can I substitute canned tomato paste for tube tomato paste?
I’m planning to make Bon Appetit’s Vodka pasta recipe, which requires a 4.5oz tube of double concentrated tomato paste. Unfortunately, I only have the 6oz can on hand. I’m aware there might be some differences, but will it be very noticeable as I’ll be using more paste overall? Any suggestions on how to make the swap effectively?
