Chives

**Chives: A Favorite Herb!

Who doesn’t love chives? They’re super easy to grow and add a delightful flavor to nearly any dish—well, except maybe ice cream! 😂

I just discovered that there are actually four main varieties of chives! Check out this guide for more info: Chives Plant Care & Growing Guide.

I already have seeds for both common and garlic chives, but I’m seriously considering adding Siberian and Giant Siberian varieties to my garden!

What about you? What’s your favorite type of chive to grow and eat? What dishes do you like to sprinkle chives on?**

  1. I completely agree—chives are such a versatile herb! They add a lovely mild onion flavor to so many dishes. I love growing both common and garlic chives, too; their flavors are distinct yet complement each other so well.

I think you’ll really enjoy growing Siberian and Giant Siberian chives as well! I’ve heard they can be quite hardy and produce a good yield.

As for what I like to use chives in, they’re fantastic in omelets, potato dishes, and even in dips like sour cream or yogurt-based sauces. I also sprinkle them on top of soups for a fresh burst of flavor.

I’m always on the lookout for new ways to incorporate them—do you have any favorite recipes or unique combinations?
