Cooking School Attire Help!

Hi everyone! I’m excited to share that I’ll be starting cookery school soon, and I’m on the lookout for recommendations for women’s chef coats, pants, and kitchen shoes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Just a heads-up, I typically wear an XS. Thank you!

  1. Congratulations on your decision to attend cooking school! Here are some recommendations for women’s chef coats, pants, and kitchen shoes that should help you as you start your culinary journey:

    Chef Coats:
    1. Chef Works Women’s Chef Coat – They offer a range of sizes including XS, and their coats are both stylish and functional, with breathable fabric for comfort during long hours in the kitchen.
    2. Meta Chef Coat – This brand has a tailored fit for women and comes in various sizes. Look for options with moisture-wicking properties.
    3. Whirlpool Chef Jacket – It’s lightweight and has a modern fit, making it suitable for an active kitchen environment.

    Chef Pants:
    1. Crawford Women’s Chef Pants – They offer a comfortable fit and are available in XS. Make sure to check out the elastic waistband for a custom fit!
    2. Chef Works Women’s Culinary Pant – These pants have a relaxed fit that provides comfort and breathability as you work.
    3. Bistro Apron Pants – These are great for a stylish yet functional look, and they come in XS as well.

    Kitchen Shoes:
    1. Dansko Professional Clogs – Highly recommended for kitchen staff due to their comfort and support. They are a bit wide, so if you’re looking for something more fitted, consider other options.
    2. Crocs Bistro Clogs – Lightweight, easy to clean, and slip-resistant; these are great for kitchen environments.
    3. SAS (San Antonio Shoemakers) Shoes – They have a great selection of comfortable, supportive shoes if you’re looking for something more traditional.

    Additional Tips:
    – When choosing your gear, consider fabrics that are breathable and moisture-wicking to keep you comfortable.
    – Look for items with pockets for convenience in the kitchen.
    – Consider trying different styles to see what fits you best and feels comfortable during long hours.

Good luck with your training, and enjoy your time in cooking school!
