Food Processor Recommendations Needed

Seeking Food Processor Recommendations

I’m in need of some recommendations for a food processor. I received a Ninja model as a gift last Christmas, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. When I tried to shred carrots and cabbage, food got trapped between the seal, making it impossible to clean properly.

I’m primarily looking for a processor to help prep vegetables for salads and soups, and it would be a bonus if it can also handle dough-making. The Ninja I had was a 12-cup model, which turned out to be too large for my needs.

I’ve browsed the subreddit for suggestions, but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed, especially since the Ninja came highly recommended. I’m looking for a high-quality food processor that is durable and efficient. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  1. I totally understand how overwhelming the choices can be! Since you’re looking for a food processor that’s good for chopping vegetables and making dough, here are a few recommendations that should meet your needs:

    1. Cuisinart DFP-14BCNY 14-Cup Food Processor: This is a classic and highly regarded for its durability and performance. It has a wide feed tube and can handle a variety of tasks, from chopping to dough mixing. Despite being 14 cups, it’s not too bulky and is great for larger batches when needed.

    2. Breville BFP800XL Sous Chef Food Processor: This is a bit on the pricier side, but it’s known for its excellent quality and durability. It has multiple bowl sizes (including a 16-cup option) and a powerful motor. The design makes it easy to clean, which is important for you, especially after dealing with the Ninja.

    3. Hamilton Beach 70730 10-Cup Food Processor: If you want something more budget-friendly, this model works well for salad and soup prep. While it might not have all the features of more expensive models, it’s compact and does a great job for everyday tasks.

    4. KitchenAid KFP0718ER 7-Cup Food Processor: This one is smaller but highly praised for its ease of use and cleaning. It’s great for smaller batches and has a variety of attachments for different functions, including dough.

    5. Ninja BN701 Professional Plus Bender: If you still want to stick with Ninja, consider this one as it’s designed to handle food processing, including dough. It has a smaller capacity but is still quite powerful.

Make sure to check out reviews and see if the size and capacity fit your needs. Good luck with your search, and I hope you find the perfect food processor!
