Help! Missing ingredient in GF pancake recipe!

Help! Confused about a GF pancake recipe!
My wife picked up some gluten-free pancake mix, and the instructions say to use an egg and a cup of the mix, but then it mentions, “Combine the pancake mix and the water.” Which water are they talking about? How much should I use?

I need assistance, please!

  1. It sounds like you’re running into a missing detail in the recipe! Typically, when a recipe calls for a pancake mix and water, it usually means you’ll need to add some water to the mix. A common ratio for pancake mixes is about 3/4 to 1 cup of water for every cup of mix, but it can vary depending on the specific brand and desired thickness.

Here’s a suggestion: Start with 3/4 cup of water, mix it in with the pancake mix and egg, and then check the consistency. If it seems too thick, you can gradually add more water until you reach the desired consistency for your pancakes. Good luck, and enjoy your pancakes!
