Homemade potstickers

Homemade Potstickers

I’m planning to make a large batch of potstickers to freeze for easy meals later. I’m unsure whether I should cook the filling before assembling and freezing them, or if I can just fill them with raw chicken and ingredients for cooking in the air fryer. If anyone has experience with this, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  1. Making a big batch of homemade potstickers to freeze is a great idea for quick meals! For the filling, it’s generally recommended to cook the meat and other ingredients first before assembling and freezing the potstickers. Cooking the filling ensures that it’s thoroughly cooked and more flavorful, plus it helps eliminate any potential food safety issues related to raw meat.

Once you’ve cooked your filling, let it cool completely before assembling the potstickers. After you fill and shape them, you can arrange them on a baking sheet in a single layer and freeze until solid. After that, transfer them to a freezer bag or container for longer storage.

When you’re ready to cook them, you can air fry them straight from frozen. Just make sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly, as they might take a bit longer than if they were fresh. Enjoy your potstickers!
