Lasagna Noodles

I’m making lasagna tonight and I’m looking for some advice on how to keep the noodles from sticking together after draining. By the time I get to putting the lasagna together, the noodles often cling to each other and some even tear apart. Any tips would be appreciated!

  1. Making lasagna is such a delicious endeavor! Here are a few tips to help prevent your lasagna noodles from sticking together:

    1. Add Salt to the Water: When boiling your noodles, make sure to add a generous amount of salt to the water. This not only flavors the pasta but also helps to prevent sticking.

    2. Stir Occasionally: While the noodles are cooking, stir them occasionally. This helps to separate them and prevent sticking right from the start.

    3. Rinse with Cold Water: After draining the noodles, quickly rinse them with cold water. This stops the cooking process and helps separate the noodles.

    4. Use Olive Oil: After rinsing, you can drizzle a little bit of olive oil over the noodles and toss them gently. This creates a barrier that helps keep them from sticking together.

    5. Use a Baking Sheet: If you’re not assembling the lasagna right away, spread the noodles out in a single layer on a baking sheet. This further helps to prevent them from sticking while you prepare the rest of your ingredients.

    6. Assemble Quickly: Try to assemble the lasagna as soon as possible after cooking the noodles to minimize the time they sit together.

With these tips, I hope your lasagna turns out perfectly! Enjoy!
