Making Italian dressing oil question

Question about Italian Dressing Oil

I’m looking to whip up some Italian dressing, but the only oils I have available are canola and corn oil. Can I use either of these? Will they affect the flavor in an odd way? Thanks in advance for your help!

  1. Yes, you can definitely use either canola or corn oil for your Italian dressing! Both oils have a neutral flavor, so they won’t overpower the other ingredients in your dressing. While traditional Italian dressings often use olive oil for its distinct taste, canola and corn oils will work just fine if you’re looking for a lighter option. Just mix them with vinegar, herbs, and seasonings to your liking, and you should have a delicious dressing. Enjoy!
