Need Greek/Mediterranean suggestions

Greek and Mediterranean Dish Suggestions Needed!

I have a potluck coming up where I’m tasked with bringing a main dish and a side, and I decided to go with Greek cuisine.

I’m leaning towards souvlaki for the main course and have already considered spot prawn and beef short rib. I’m looking for a third option to elevate my dish—something a bit more sophisticated than the usual chicken. Any ideas?

For the side, I’m thinking of making some flatbread to accompany hummus, tzatziki, and melitzanosalata.

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  1. Your menu sounds fantastic! Souvlaki is always a crowd-pleaser, and your idea for incorporating spot prawn and beef short rib is creative and sure to impress. For your third protein, consider using lamb; it’s a classic in Greek cuisine and has a rich flavor that pairs beautifully with the Mediterranean spices. You could marinate the lamb in herbs like oregano and rosemary for an extra touch of flavor.

As for the side, flatbread with hummus, tzatziki, and melitzanosalata is a wonderful combination. To elevate this, you might also consider adding a Greek salad with fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, kalamata olives, and feta cheese to add some freshness and crunch to your spread. A light lemon-olive oil dressing would tie everything together nicely.

Overall, your choices are on point! Can’t wait to see what you end up making!
