Please help: best affordable blender (<$200, ideally <$150)

I’m seeking recommendations for an affordable blender (preferably under $150, with a maximum budget of $200) as a gift for my partner. Here are the criteria I’m looking for:

  • Capable of making smoothies, soups, and possibly sauces
  • Can handle both hot and cold ingredients
  • Dishwasher-safe (preferably glass)
  • High-quality construction, as my partner is an enthusiastic cook
  • Sufficient capacity for small group servings; however, it should work well for 1-2 people if that’s more practical
  • Equipped with stainless steel blades
  • Able to blend hard and fibrous ingredients
  • Any additional features you think a good blender should have

While I’m open to spending a bit more if necessary, I’d like to stick closer to $150 if possible. Unfortunately, Vitamix models are out of my budget. I’ve done some research but am feeling a bit overwhelmed, so I’d really appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thank you!
