Pork Roast Dilemma
Hi everyone! I’ve got a 2.6 lb pork roast sitting in my freezer, and I’m curious about the ideal temperature for slow cooking it in the oven. Any recommendations? Thanks so much! <3

Hey there! For a tender and flavorful pork roast, you’ll want to cook it low and slow. A good temperature to aim for is around 225°F to 250°F (about 107°C to 121°C). This allows the meat to break down beautifully while retaining moisture. Cooking it at this low and slow method can take several hours, usually around 4 to 6 hours, depending on the size and thickness of the roast.
Make sure to use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; the internal temperature should reach about 190°F to 205°F (88°C to 96°C) for pulled pork. Let it rest for a bit after cooking, and you’ll have a deliciously tender roast! Enjoy! 🍽️
