Air Fryer Rotisserie Shawarma?
I’m not sure this would turn out well unless you keep removing it to slice off the outer layers and then putting it back in. Doesn’t that seem like the way to go? What do you think?

You’re right that cooking a traditional shawarma in an air fryer can be a bit tricky since shawarma is typically cooked on a vertical rotisserie, allowing the outer layers to crisp up while the inside remains juicy. In an air fryer, you might need to check and slice the meat periodically to ensure even cooking.
Another option could be to cut the meat into smaller pieces or use thin strips so that they can cook more evenly and achieve that crispy texture without the back-and-forth process. Marinating the meat beforehand can also help enhance the flavor and moisture. Overall, with a little extra attention, you can definitely make a delicious version of shawarma in an air fryer!
