Tesco seat of shame.

The Tesco Seat of Shame

Has anyone else gone through this? You’re doing your big shop with the ‘scan as you go’ option. You arrive at the checkout ready for a quick scan of your club card, a tap to pay, and you’re out in under a minute. But then, they decide to check your trolley and discover you forgot to scan a punnet of grapes. Next thing you know, you’re directed to the so-called “scan as you shop” seat of shame while they rescan your entire trolley.

I couldn’t help but notice the disapproving glares from other shoppers, and to top it off, a police officer gave me a yet another side-eye while he was picking up his meal deal. Safe to say, I’ll be sticking to Sainsbury’s from now on!

  1. I totally get where you’re coming from! That “seat of shame” experience can be so embarrassing. It’s frustrating when you think you’ve done everything right, only to be called out for a mistake. The glares from other shoppers can feel a bit dramatic too—but hey, we all make mistakes! Hopefully, your next trip to Sainsbury’s will be a lot smoother. And if it makes you feel any better, you’re definitely not alone in this!
