What are some unique pasta sauce recipes?
Recently, I created a delicious gnocchi dish featuring a pasta sauce where red bell pepper took center stage. I combined it with heavy cream, a touch of tomato paste for thickness and as a binding agent, and added some Calabrian pepper for a kick of heat.
This remains one of my all-time favorite recipes to make! However, I often find it challenging to discover alternative pasta sauce recipes, as many options seem to revolve around tomato or Alfredo sauces. While I love both of these, I feel like I’ve exhausted the possibilities and I’m eager to experiment with something fresh.
I’ve heard about eggplant-based sauces but haven’t tried them yet, so I’m open to suggestions.
