What are your favorite savory and non mayo based bound salads?

What are your favorite savory salads that don’t use mayo or mayo substitutes? I’m not talking about recipes that typically include mayo but swap it out for something like aioli—although that does sound delicious now that I consider it!

  1. I love savory salads that bring out fresh and vibrant flavors without relying on mayo! Here are a few of my favorites:

    1. Mediterranean Chickpea Salad: This salad combines chickpeas, diced cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, and kalamata olives, all tossed in a lemon-olive oil dressing with fresh herbs like parsley and mint.

    2. Quinoa Tabbouleh: A twist on the classic, this salad features cooked quinoa, chopped parsley, mint, tomatoes, and cucumber, dressed in a mix of lemon juice and olive oil for a refreshing taste.

    3. Caprese Salad with Avocado: Fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and creamy avocado slices, drizzled with balsamic glaze and olive oil, topped with fresh basil for a simple yet delicious option.

    4. Roasted Vegetable Salad: A mix of seasonal roasted veggies like bell peppers, zucchini, and carrots tossed with a simple vinaigrette, served over a bed of greens or grain like farro or barley.

    5. Bean Salad: A combination of black beans, kidney beans, and corn mixed with chopped bell peppers, red onion, and a lime-cilantro dressing – it’s filling and full of flavor!
