What do you all do with your excess Chinese Hot Mustard packets? I seem to run out of soy and duck sauce pretty quickly, but the mustard is starting to accumulate. I’ve tried using some for salad dressings, but I’m looking for more creative uses! Any suggestions? I have nearly 2000 packets and just 3 soy left! Thanks!

What do you guys do with all the leftover Chinese Hot Mustard packets? I go through the soy and duck sauce quick enough, but the mustard is starting to pile up. I’ve made a few salad dressings, but need some more ideas! Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you have quite the stash of hot mustard packets! Here are some creative ideas to help you use them up:
-
Marinades: Mix the mustard with some honey and soy sauce to create a zesty marinade for chicken, pork, or tofu.
-
Dipping Sauce: Combine the mustard with mayonnaise or Greek yogurt to create a spicy dipping sauce for veggies or chicken tenders.
-
Spicy Vinaigrette: Blend the mustard with olive oil, vinegar, and a touch of honey or maple syrup for a tangy salad dressing.
-
Egg Dishes: Add a packet to scrambled eggs or an omelette for an unexpected kick.
-
Noodle Dishes: Toss the mustard into stir-fried noodles or fried rice for an extra layer of flavor.
-
Sauces for Sliders: Mix with ketchup or BBQ sauce to serve with burgers or sliders.
-
Homemade spicy mayo: Combine the mustard with mayo to spread on sandwiches or burgers, elevating the flavor profile.
-
Boost Your Soups: Stir a packet into your soup for an added kick. It pairs especially well with ramen or other Asian-inspired soups.
-
Fish dishes: Mix it with breadcrumbs to create a spicy crust for baked fish.
-
Snack or Cheese Board: Use it as a component in a cheese board, serving it alongside cheeses and crackers for a unique flavor experience.
Hopefully, these ideas inspire you to reduce that mustard mountain!
