What to do with so much ketchup

Dealing with an excessive amount of ketchup
While organizing my pantry, I stumbled upon four unopened bottles of ketchup. We rarely use it as a condiment, so I’m puzzled about who thought we needed to stock up! At our current usage rate, it would take us a decade to finish them all. I’d love to hear your suggestions on how to utilize all this ketchup!

  1. You could definitely get creative with those ketchup bottles! Here are a few ideas to help you use up all that ketchup:

    1. BBQ Sauce Base: Combine ketchup with some vinegar, brown sugar, and spices to make a quick BBQ sauce for grilling.

    2. Marinades: Use ketchup as a base for marinades for chicken or pork. Mix it with soy sauce, garlic, and some spices for a flavorful marinade.

    3. Baked Dishes: Use ketchup in recipes like meatloaf, where it adds moisture and flavor. You can also use it in casseroles or baked beans.

    4. Sloppy Joes: Make a big batch of Sloppy Joes by mixing ketchup with ground beef, onions, and some spices for a comforting meal.

    5. Bloody Mary Mix: If you enjoy cocktails, use some ketchup as a base for a spicy Bloody Mary.

    6. Tomato Soup: You can incorporate ketchup into tomato soup for extra flavor along with herbs and cream.

    7. Chili: Add ketchup to your chili recipe. It brings sweetness and depth to the dish.

    8. Donations: If you’re really not going to use them, consider donating a few bottles to a local food bank or shelter.

Hopefully, these ideas help you put those bottles to good use!
