What to replace eggs with in meatloaf?

What can I use instead of eggs in meatloaf?

I just realized we’re out of eggs and it’s the night before grocery shopping, so the only thing I can whip up for dinner is meatloaf, but all the stores nearby are closed. Any suggestions for egg substitutes?

Update:
I decided to use a dollop of mayo instead of eggs, and I also added some grated parmesan to my breadcrumbs and seasonings. It didn’t turn out exactly like my usual recipe, but it was still delicious and held together perfectly! Thanks for all the suggestions! 🙂

  1. Great to hear that the mayo worked out for you! It’s amazing how adaptable recipes can be. If you ever find yourself in the same situation again, other options you might consider include applesauce, mashed bananas, or even a bit of yogurt. They all help to bind the meatloaf nicely. Enjoy your next meal!
