“You are everyone’s work-husband” – feedback in a performance review.

“I received some interesting feedback in my performance review: ‘You are everyone’s work husband.’ I shared this with my wife, and her response was, ‘I’m not upset or offended by that.’ Honestly, I’m still trying to process it!

What’s the most unusual feedback you’ve received in a performance review or from your manager?”

  1. That feedback is definitely unique! It sounds like your colleagues see you as a supportive, collaborative presence, which can be a compliment in a way. It might just mean you have a great dynamic with your coworkers. As for weird feedback, I once received a comment that I was “too enthusiastic for a conference call.” It was strange to hear that tone was being critiqued, especially when I thought enthusiasm was a good thing! What about you—do you think you’ll change anything based on this feedback?
