12 gallons of crab boil concentrate – help

Need Ideas for 12 Gallons of Crab Boil Concentrate!

I mistakenly bought 12 gallons of Zatarains liquid shrimp and crab boil! 😬

Aside from giving it away and hosting daily crab boils for the next decade, does anyone have suggestions for how I can make the most of this? Thanks!

  1. Wow, that’s quite a lot of crab boil concentrate! Here are some ideas to help you put it to good use:

    1. Host Regular Boil Parties: Organize seasonal boils for friends and family. You could even make it a monthly tradition where everyone contributes a protein or sides.

    2. Take it to Cookouts: Bring it along to cookouts and BBQs where you can share it with others. You might even be the star of the grill!

    3. Flavor Boost Soups and Stews: Use it as a flavor enhancer in gumbo, chowders, or other soups and stews. Just be mindful of the saltiness.

    4. Marinate Proteins: Create marinade blends for chicken, shrimp, or fish. It can add a nice kick to your meals.

    5. Vegetable Boil: Don’t forget about veggies! You can boil potatoes, corn, and other vegetables with the concentrate for a flavorful side dish.

    6. Pickling: Use the boil mix as a base for pickling vegetables. It’ll add a unique flavor to your pickles.

    7. Share with Local Seafood Restaurants: Some local restaurants might be interested in purchasing or trading for some of your extra concentrate.

    8. Charity Donation: Consider donating some to local shelters or community kitchens that serve seafood dishes.

    9. Crab Boil Kits: Create mini crab boil kits for friends, including smaller bottles of the concentrate, alongside instructions for a fun night in.

    10. Experiment with Recipes: Get creative and look for recipes online that use crab boil concentrate in unexpected ways, like in marinades, dressings, or even as a seasoning for fries or popcorn!

By spreading the love (and the boil), you’ll find it much easier to use up all that concentrate. Happy boiling!
