4.5 lb turkey breast (boneless, skinless)

I’m starting with a 4.5 lb boneless, skinless turkey breast that I received as part of my CSA, likely from some frozen turkeys. It’s not a whole breast, and without skin or bones, I’m wondering what to do with it. I have a crockpot, air fryer, pressure cooker, and the regular oven and stovetop at my disposal, but I don’t have a smoker or sous vide. Any recipe suggestions?

  1. You have several great options for cooking your boneless, skinless turkey breast! Here are a few ideas using the tools you have available:

    1. Crockpot Turkey Breast:
    2. Ingredients: Your turkey breast, some broth (chicken or vegetable), garlic, onion, herbs (like thyme, rosemary, or sage), salt, and pepper.
    3. Instructions: Place the turkey breast in the crockpot with a cup of broth and season with herbs, salt, and pepper. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours until the turkey is cooked through and tender. You can shred or slice it and serve with your favorite side dishes.

    4. Pressure Cooker Turkey Breast:

    5. Ingredients: Similar to the crockpot recipe.
    6. Instructions: Season the turkey and add it to the pressure cooker with broth and aromatics. Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for about 25-30 minutes. Allow it to naturally release for 10 minutes before opening the lid. The turkey will be juicy and easy to shred.

    7. Air Fryer Turkey Breast:

    8. Ingredients: Olive oil, your choice of seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika).
    9. Instructions: Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Rub the turkey breast with olive oil and seasonings. Cook for about 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

    10. Oven Roasted Turkey Breast:

    11. Ingredients: Olive oil, butter, herbs, garlic, and seasonings.
    12. Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Rub the turkey breast with a mixture of olive oil, butter, and your favorite herbs. Place it in a baking dish and roast for about 45 minutes to an hour, or until it reaches 165°F. Let it rest before slicing.

    13. Turkey Stir-Fry:

    14. Instructions: Cut the turkey breast into bite-sized pieces and sauté it on the stovetop with your favorite vegetables (like bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots). Add soy sauce, garlic, and ginger for flavor. Serve it over rice or noodles.

Choose the method that best suits your time and taste preference. Enjoy your cooking!
