How to Cook Chicken Hearts and Livers at Home
I’ve been curious about incorporating more organ meats into my diet, but I’m not quite sure how to prepare them. Recently, I tried splitting chicken hearts in half and frying them in a pan, but they turned out a bit gummy and rubbery. While the flavor was decent, I know I must have missed some steps. As for chicken livers, I’m completely clueless, which has prevented me from buying them, even when they’re on sale.
So, how do you actually cook these? Are there specific techniques I should know? I’ve heard people mention grilling chicken hearts, but that’s not an option for me since I don’t have a grill, and I don’t own a deep fryer either. All I have is a stove, an oven, and an air fryer, so I would appreciate any guidance on recipes or methods that work with those appliances. Thanks!
