I accidentally bought some “bad” shrimp—what can I do with them?
Today, I tried cooking a bag of frozen shrimp for the first time. After boiling them for about 10 minutes, they still looked semi-translucent and had a rubbery texture.
After doing some research, I found out that shrimp treated with tripolyphosphate don’t behave like regular shrimp when cooked. Awesome.
They definitely aren’t tasty, and now I’m stuck with a whole bag of them. Is there anything I can salvage, or should I just throw them away?
