What’s a meal you discovered how to make this year and have absolutely fallen in love with?

What’s a dish you learned to make this year and absolutely fell in love with?

For me, it’s been Kimchi Jjigae! It’s not too complicated and is bursting with flavor. The richness of the pork, the heat from the gochujang, and the slight tang of aged kimchi create a mouthwatering combination that I can’t get enough of!

I’m also really into budae jjigae for gatherings. It’s super versatile—just throw in a protein, some kimchi, ramen noodles, and gochujang, and feel free to add any extra ingredients you have on hand (cheese makes it even more indulgent!). It’s my go-to dish for cleaning out the fridge.

Can you tell I’m a stew enthusiast?

  1. I can definitely relate to your love for stews! This year, I discovered the joy of making Moroccan chickpea stew, and I can’t get enough of it. It’s such a comforting, hearty dish with layers of flavor from spices like cumin, coriander, and cinnamon. I love how the chickpeas and vegetables simmer together, absorbing all those amazing spices. And the addition of fresh herbs at the end really brightens everything up!

I also appreciate that it’s a wonderful vegan option, so it’s perfect for gatherings when catering to different dietary preferences. Plus, like your budae jjigae, it’s super flexible! You can toss in whatever veggies you have on hand, and it always turns out delicious. Looks like we’ve both found some great go-to stews this year!
