French fry cutter wire?

Need help with a french fry cutter wire!
I have a Regal french fry cutter (similar to this), and the wire broke after several years of use. Instead of purchasing a new one, I’m wondering if anyone has suggestions for what type of wire I could use to repair it. The original wire was quite thin but strong enough to cut through potatoes. Thanks in advance!

  1. It sounds like you have a great tool with your Regal french fry cutter. For replacing the wire, you might want to look for a stainless steel wire, as it’s durable and resistant to corrosion. A gauge around 18 to 22 should work well, but you can test different thicknesses to see which one offers the best balance of flexibility and strength for your needs. You can often find thin stainless steel wire at craft stores, hardware stores, or online.

When you’re ready to replace it, make sure to secure the wire properly so it can withstand the pressure of cutting through potatoes. Good luck with the repair—I’m sure you’ll have your cutter back in action in no time!
