Reviving Stale French Bread
I have two loaves of French bread that have become a bit stale since I brought them home yesterday. I’d like to use them to make French bread pizza (similar to a Red Baron style) and am wondering how I can soften them up. I’ve heard of the water method and wrapping them in foil, but I’m concerned that this might make them overly crispy, especially since I plan to bake them with toppings. Apologies if this is a silly question, but I could really use some advice on how to do this without making them too crunchy—I’m wearing braces and can’t handle anything too crispy!
