How can I become more creative in the kitchen?
I feel pretty confident in my cooking skills—I’ve done my fair share of baking and meal prep. However, I believe that creativity is what distinguishes a casual cook from a true home chef. It’s that knack for looking at a variety of ingredients and whipping up something healthy and delicious, all while being efficient. When I say “efficient,” I mean managing things like budget, minimizing mess, improvising with substitutions, measuring less frequently, and cooking quickly.
I’ve been inspired by those budget cooking videos where people manage to eat on just $10 a week. Their ability to create nutritious and tasty dishes on a shoestring budget really speaks to me. While they might craft risottos or hearty stews, I often find myself resorting to simple boiled eggs and toast. So, how can I tap into more creativity in my cooking? I’d love to hear your suggestions!
