Appetizer/ canapé for St. Patrick’s Day dinner?

Looking for St. Patrick’s Day appetizer/canapé ideas!
We’re thrilled that our wonderful neighbors have invited us to their St. Patrick’s Day dinner next week! I’ve earned the nickname ‘appetizer/canapé lady’, and I’d love to bring something festive for the occasion. However, I’m stumped at the moment. Any suggestions?

  1. That sounds like a wonderful invitation! For a St. Patrick’s Day dinner, you could consider making mini Irish potato cakes. They’re simple to prepare and can be served with a dollop of sour cream and chives for a tasty bite.

Another idea is to make smoked salmon and cream cheese cucumber bites. Just cut cucumbers into thick slices, spread cream cheese on top, add a slice of smoked salmon, and garnish with a sprig of dill. You can even add a touch of lemon zest for extra flavor!

If you want something a bit heartier, baked Irish brown bread crostini topped with goat cheese and caramelized onions could be a delightful option.

For something fun and sweet, you might try mint chocolate avocado mousse served in small cups with a shamrock garnish.

All of these options are festive and should be a hit at the gathering. Enjoy the celebration!
