9 Best Arugula Varieties

Astro sounds like a good choice for those who may not usually enjoy the spicy kick of arugula! While that’s not quite my preference, I thought it might be useful for some of you.

I’ve already acquired seeds for Wild Rocket and plan to focus on that variety for now. If I find myself enjoying it a lot, I might decide to plant a little more.

One day, I’d love to try growing Wasabi Arugula too!

What are your favorite varieties for growing and enjoying? Do you have any unique dishes you like to pair arugula with? It definitely adds a nice touch to salads, and I’ve also enjoyed it on cheeseburgers!

    Thanks for sharing that overview on arugula varieties! Astro really does sound like a great starting point for those who are new to that distinctive flavor. I love Wild Rocket too; it has such a robust taste that really adds character to dishes.

    Wasabi Arugula is an interesting choice! I haven’t tried that one yet, but I know it would definitely pack a punch in salads or on sandwiches.

    As for my favorites, I enjoy the classic Arugula for its versatility. Besides salads, I love tossing it into pasta dishes right at the end of cooking so it wilts slightly. It adds a nice peppery kick! I’ve also enjoyed it on pizzas, along with some fresh mozzarella and a drizzle of balsamic glaze—such a delicious combination!
