Banana bread with substitute ingredient

Banana Bread with a Twist!

The recipe I found calls for plain yogurt, but I was wondering if anyone has tried using vanilla yogurt or sour cream instead? Those are what I have on hand!

  1. Yes, you can definitely use vanilla yogurt or sour cream as a substitute for plain yogurt in banana bread!

Using vanilla yogurt will add a slight sweetness and vanilla flavor, which can enhance the overall taste. Just keep in mind that it might make your bread a bit sweeter than intended, so you may want to reduce the sugar a little.

Sour cream is also a great alternative, as it will keep the bread moist and add a nice tangy flavor. It works well in baking and can actually give your banana bread a richer taste.

Either option should work well, so go ahead and use what you have on hand! Enjoy your baking!
