Best ingredients you wouldn’t normally buy?

What are some unique ingredients you wouldn’t typically purchase?

My boyfriend is an amazing cook, and for his birthday, I’m planning to create a basket filled with exceptional kitchen items that elevate cooking but aren’t everyday purchases. I’d love some suggestions!

So far, I’m considering:
– Graza olive oil
– white pepper
– ???

Any other ideas?
