Ideas for a Clear Liquid Diet
My five-year-old has had a challenging week after an incident at school that landed him in the hospital for three days. He underwent significant jaw surgery, which involved a titanium plate and three screws. As a result, he’s currently on a very restrictive diet that consists of clear liquids for the first several weeks, followed by soft foods for four to six months.
While he’s typically a normal (if somewhat picky) eater for his age, we’re starting to get weary of the same old options like jello and pudding. I did manage to add some flavor to chicken broth with garlic and onion powders, but I’m looking for more creative ideas to keep his meals enjoyable and appealing. We know we’re in this for the long haul, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
